For various reasons I for sometime have been going “less is more” style with both cameras and equipment.
Since I sold my last laptops I been using the Apple iPad as a substitute and have imported my photos from the camera onto the iPad for transfer onto a NAS.
Using the application “FileBrowser” on iPad I can copy files from/to networked devices.
Seagate Blackarmor NAS (below) supports both FTP & windows network folder sharing. In short it more or less acts like a computer and is seen like one from the iPads point of view.
Lightroom is still superior but this is a doable way of getting photos off the camera and onto a secure storage system.
